Allergy Testing Clinics only run on a Wednesday with Dr Kathryn Fox and are open to all patients including non-practice patients.
If you need your dressing changed please book in with one of our qualified registered nurses. Wound dressings are used to protect wounds, promote healing, and prevent infection.
If you have any concerns with changes to your skin, booking a skin check with one of our skin doctors Dr Ruanna Levi or Dr Christine Willis.
Colour City Medical Practice has a large group of doctors, nurses and administration staff working to provide the best medical care for our patients in an individualised manner.
Consultations are made by appointment with the Doctor of your choice. Apart from standard consultations, long consultations can be booked for more complex issues. We would appreciate you letting the receptionist know so that extra time may be allowed for. Further appointments may need to be scheduled for you if there are multiple issues to discuss or if more than one family member is to be seen. Due to the unpredictable nature of general practice consultations, the doctors may occasionally run behind schedule. We apologise for the inconvenience and we will endeavour to keep you informed of any delays.
An Advance Care Directive (ACD) is a 30 min appointment with your doctor to go through your preferences for future healthcare. This may include life-sustaining treatment, in case you become unable to make or communicate your decisions . It is a way to ensure your wishes are respected by healthcare professionals and loved ones when you can't express them.

This appointment may involve a skin-prick test with various allergens placed on the inner forearm if appropriate. You may be sent for blood tests to a wider range of allergens.
A blood pressure check can be booked in with one of our Registered Nurses. It measures the force of blood against the artery walls as the heart pumps. A measurement will typically be taken on the upper arm and involves inflating a cuff to temporarily stop blood flow and then slowly releasing the pressure while listening for the return of blood flow.
If needing a Care Plan for management of a medical condition please book in an appointment with your regular doctor. Care plans are now only managed by our doctors and last 30 mins.
Cervical screening otherwise as a Pap smear is a routine procedure performed by a doctor (15min) or nurse (30min) to check for any abnormal cell changes in the cervix. It's a quick and simple test that helps detect potential problems early, significantly reducing the risk of cervical cancer.
Childhood Immunisations will need to booked in for 15minutes with a nurse and another 15minutes with your regular doctor straight after. These Immunisations protect children from various serious diseases and are often free for those with a Medicare card. Please call reception to make an appointment for a childhood Immunisation.
CHAP is used to conduct annual health assessments for those with intellectual disabilities. It aims to identify health issues and conditions that are preventable, ensuring individuals receive appropriate care and support. The CHAP involves a two-part questionnaire completed by yourself and your regular doctor. It is an hour long appointment so please call reception if you would like to book in.
A 30 min treatment using liquid nitrogen, to freeze abnormal tissue, such as warts or some skin cancers. An initial consult must be booked before receiving any cryotherapy treatment. Your doctor will assess whether it is safe to go ahead with the area being treated.
30min appointment with your octor helps determine your risk of developing type 2 diabetes or if you have it already through lifestyle changes or further medical evaluation. The appointment involves tests and tools, such as blood tests. Duration of appointment may change as required by the doctor.
Booked in with one of our qualified Registered Nurses and is a procedure that aims remove excess earwax effectively and safely. Waxsol or ear clear must be used for a minimum of 2-6 days prior to the appointment and driving immediately after is not advised. Please ask reception team for any further information.

A 1 hour comprehensive evaluation of a person's overall health status, where your nurse will run through physical, psychological, and social well-being. It involves gathering information about medical history, lifestyle, and current symptoms to identify potential health risks and create personalised care plans. The appointment is booked in with a nurse for the first hour and a doctor for a further 15mins.
This is a comprehensive evaluation offered through Medicare to identify and address potential health issues early on. It's designed to be culturally appropriate and tailored to the unique needs. Please allow for over an hour for your appointment, it will be booked in with the nurse for the first hour and another 15mins with the doctor.
A 75+ health assessment is a comprehensive review of an individual's health, designed to identify any potential health issues and risks. During your appointment the nurse and doctor will develop a personalised care plan to promote well-being and independence. During your appointment the health assessment will cover medical, functional, psychological, and social aspects. You will be booked in with a nurse for the first hour and then with your doctor for a further 15mins.
A small personal ECG monitoring device, designed to track your heart rate and rhythm over a period of up to 28days. The heart bug is applied to your chest with one of our registered nurses and will be a 30min appointment to run through information on the device and how to use the correlating app.
If you need to be provided with an injection you can book in with one of our registered nurses available on the day to receive this. Keep in mind that it is preferred that your regular doctor is on-site during the time of your visit.
An INR is booked with one of our nurses and involves a blood test that measures how long it takes your blood to clot. It's primarily used to monitor the effects of anticoagulant medications like warfarin, ensuring the blood isn't clotting too quickly or slowly.
Some complex medical issues may take longer or require additional time. If you feel you require a longer consultation time than a standard 15 minutes, please notify reception when making your appointment, examples of these may be: • Medical procedures • Skin checks • Multiple medical issues • Cervical screening • Health Care Plans, mental health plans • Immunisation, diabetes checks etc.
Mental health consultations are at least 30mins and involves a conversation with your doctor to assess, diagnose, and develop a treatment plan for your mental health concerns. These consultations are conducted in-person but can be access via telehealth if registered with MyMedicare. The goal is to provide support, guidance, and appropriate interventions, which could include therapy, medication, or referrals to other services.
A Mirena and Implanon are both long-acting, reversible contraceptive methods, but they differ in their placement and duration. To schedule an Implanon or Mirena (IUD) insertion or removal appointment, please contact reception to make an appointment . You will need a consultation to discuss options, followed by a procedure appointment. Please specify whether it is an insertion, removal or both and to discuss the fees involved.
After a skin check has been performed the next step depends on the findings. If no suspicious lesions are found, the doctor will likely recommend a follow-up skin check, perhaps in a few months or a year. If a suspicious spot is identified, a biopsy (removing a skin sample for testing) may be performed. The doctor will discuss the biopsy results with you, and if skin cancer is diagnosed, treatment options will be explained. Please call and ask reception to advise on wait times and the steps you need to take to book a biopsy.
We run Q fever clinics with our registerd nurse Sarah Bywater. These clinics run over the period of two weeks and involve a screening, skin test and blood test for the first week and a review of bloods results and the vaccination during the second. A recall appointment, is a follow-up appointment scheduled by a doctor or nurse to discuss a patient's test results, assess their progress, or monitor their condition. It ensure the patient receives necessary ongoing care and management.
Removal of stitches is the process of taking out surgical stitches (sutures) from a wound after it has healed enough. This can be booked in with one of our nurses and typically after a patient has had a procedural appointment for biopsy.
If you have any concerns with changes to your skin, booking a skin check with one of our skin doctors Dr Ruanna Levi or Dr Christine Willis. They will help you identify a melanoma in its earliest stages. This, in turn, can increase your chance for timely successful treatment. A skin check lasts at least 30mins on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday and can differentiate between a problem growth that may need further investigation and a simple, everyday blemish.
Spirometry is a common lung function test used to assess how well your lungs work. It involves a 30 min appointment with your nurse then a further 15mins with your doctor.

You cannot book this appointment if you are NOT a Concession card holder (Health Care Card/Commonwealth Senior Health Card/ Pension Concession Card) or a child under 16yrs (not inclusive). Please select 'Telephone Consult Standard -Private' if this does not apply to you.
Private charge includes a 2.75% HotDoc processing fee + 30c per transaction fee, and will not be reflected on your Medicare Rebate invoice. This charge goes directly to HotDoc for their service. Once your appointment has ended and payment has been received, an invoice will be generated and sent directly to Medicare to process your rebate to your linked bank account. Medicare rebates can take between 3 - 5 business days to show up in your account.
We offer a triage service for those that suffer from UTI's to be seen at any time of the day. This is not a specified appointment so we will ask you to go home first. When you come into the practice we will ask you to provide us with a sample of your urine and to fill out a form on arrival. You can collect a sample at home or at our practice, just ask reception for a collection jar. This will then be given to the nurse to triage with a doctor and they will give you a call with the results.
Work cover only applies to our current patients, we are currently not taking on new work cover patients. For any current patients needing work cover please keep in mind the doctor you choose to handle your claim will be the only doctor to handle your case through out its duration of activity.

Yellow fever vaccine is a vaccine that protects against a viral infection that occurs in Africa and South America and is a requirement when traveling. Yellow fever immunisations can be booked in with one of our registered nurses but must have one of the yellow fever accredited doctors on site to fill in your vaccination passport card. Please keep in mind the nurses will need 1 week to order the vaccine in, so please plan accordingly.
